Shikakai is the original low pH shampoo with a mild cleansing action - use it in place of your regular shampoo. Unlike most shampoos, it will not strip hair of natural oils. Shikakai promotes hair growth and has de-tangling effects by preventing inter-fibre adhesion, thereby increasing body and giving substance & resilence to hair, making it easier to comb and style.

This product is suitable for any hair type, but especially suited if you have fine or thinning hair, as it will act as a hair thickener & make more of your hair. It will not give the hair that 'dull look' as some hair thickenening shampoos do. You also do not need a separate conditioner with this product. Although you can use a small amount of leave in conditioner on the ends if your hair is very dry or damaged. If your hair is thick or long then you can apply a little oil on the lengths afterwards to smooth the hair out a little.

The powder is mixed into a paste and applied to the scalp only. It is left on for 5 minutes & then rinsed off the roots & through the hair. If you have oiled your hair & wish to shampoo the oil out then you may need more than one application.
